The International Pineapple Organization (IPO) Global Pineapple Conference (GPC) was founded in 2012 and held our first GLOBAL PINEAPPLE CONFERENCE (GPC) in San Jose, Costa Rica in November of 2013.
The Global Pineapple Conference brings together Major Stakeholders from the Global PINEAPPLE SUPPLY CHAIN and follows an AGENDA known as the FIVE PILLARS:
I - SUPPLY SIDE : Bringing together world famous Academics, Researchers, Agro Chemical Companies as well as Major Farming Concerns and Pineapple Exporters
II - LOGISTICS : Customs Broker and Freight Forwarders, Terminal Ports, Maritime Shipping Companies, Trucking Companies and Railway Companies all join in the conversation to address criticall issues and Solutions.
III - DEMAND SIDE : This segment of the Conference adresses issues from Distribution Companies, Processors, Fresh Cut, Dehydrated, Frozen sales and marketing of PINEAPPLE DERIVATIVES at the Wholesale and Retail as well as Restaurant and Food Services level.
IV = TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION: The industry gathers to propose solutions and "OUTSIDE THE BOX" approach to the entire PINEAPPLE SUPPLY CHAIN.
V - SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY & CERTIFICATION: In a changing world, this segment keeps the Industry informed of the latest Certification such as SQF, Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), GLOBAL GAP, Government Regulations that are constantly being updated.
The International Pineapple Organization (IPO) is is the sister Organization of the International Mango Organization (IMO) founded in 2000 and recognized by the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) of the United Nations in 2003.
